With one hundred words
You could stop a flow of tears
Or start a new cascade
Tear lovers apart
Or bring two together in spite of anything.
With one hundred words,
You could start a war
Or bring peace to rivals;
Take a life whose sadness overwhelms them;
Save a soul whose bony hand reaches out to you.
With one hundred words,
Each insubstantial string of characters
Brings a single image
To a whole different picture;
Giving power to those who wield them
Like an ever changing sword.
With one hundred words,
You could inspire others
To do the same.
